eBook : 5 patterns

Great eBook with 5 different styles of fingerless mitts in 5 different sizes from child through large adult man. These are a snap to make! There’s something for everyone - colorwork, beads/crystals, lace.

eBook : 14 patterns

Each of the bracelets in this collection is knitted using only the knit stitch! The beads are strung onto the size 3 crochet thread before knitting in a specific order (complete instructions for how to accomplish this are included). The beads are size 6/0 glass seed beads; I prefer Japanese Miyuki beads since they are so uniform. Bracelets each have a specific design in beads on the right side. The wrong side of each bracelet is one solid color of beads.

eBook : 4 patterns

Four scrumptious patterns for lovely shawls with or without beads are included in this great little eBook.

Knitting: Doll
This is a cheerful addition to my family of gnome patterns. This is Bumble Gnome. He is sporting yellow and black stripes with a black hat and antennae! He has black legs and shoes and black sleeves. As always (except on Ballerina Gnome) he is growing a lovely white beard. He has wings to keep him flying from flower to flower.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I really enjoyed using the beautiful yarn in the gorgeous colors from Expression Fiber Arts. This is a fingering weight, hand dyed, called “Sincere Sock”. It’s fabulous! The colors were perfect for the project. The yarn is soft and yet still strong.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is just lovely and evokes dreams of islands, sands, oceans, seafoam, and beaches! The yarn is Expression Fiber Works “Sincere Sock”. It’s beautiful and the colors are perfect! You will use one skein of blue and one skein of sand as detailed in the pattern. I used 6/0 glass beads for the seafoam where the water laps onto the shore.
Knitting: Doll
“Spidey Gnome, Spidey Gnome. He can live with you in your home!”
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This big, drapey, crescent shaped shawl was a joy to knit. If you love to knit lace, as I do, this one is for you. The lace is deep, crisp, almost nautical in its feel juxtaposed with the casual of the denim color yarn. This is such a summery knit.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I named this sumptuous shawl “Reverence” because it reminds me of nature. It is softly elegant and quietly dignified. Nothing pretentious going on here, but it is beautiful in its majestic simplicity. It’s knitted in an unassuming color of soft as a kitten fingering weight “Tynd”. I absolutely love the way it’s flowy and lovely!
Knitting: Doll
The Gnomes I designed have been complaining that there are no females in their group. They were absolutely correct, so here is my newest addition to the clan: Ballerina Gnome. My sister says she looks like a Fiona (not sure why). She’s sweet and talented and keeps her beautiful brunette hair in a tidy, beribboned bun atop her gnomey head. She h...
Knitting: Doll
This little gnome is full of yawns and sweetness! He wears the cutest puppy dog slippers and one-piece jammies with a back flap! His long striped hat keeps his head warm and he takes comfort from his tiny teddy.
Knitting: Softies - Other
I LOVE this pattern! We’ve had so much fun moving our fridge climber gnome all over the refrigerator and putting him in different climbing positions. He’s so cute and funny!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is so pretty. I loved using the Arcane Fibre Works gorgeous fingering weight in color Winter Wonderland for the first time (not the last, I’m sure!). Their colors are amazing and the yarn is smooshy and soft and blocks nicely. There is a deep bottom lace portion, worked from a large, easy to read chart. I also have included written d...
Knitting: Doll
This gnome is ready for any arctic blast coming his way! Just trying to stay warm, he wears a cuddly flapped hat in lavender and navy that matches his collar and jaunty snowboots. His snowsuit is light blue. He has lots of “natural” insulation to weather the snow and short days.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a very meaningful pattern for me. I designed and knitted it during December. On December 27th, 2023, we lost our 17 year old granddaughter to brain cancer. It has been a terribly difficult journey for our family, though we are all immensely thankful for the precious time we did have with her.
Knitting: Cowl
This was a fun pattern to knit, even with the beads. Only ribbing and stockinette/stocking stitch. You can make the cowl bigger by working more rows of ribbing, just make sure you have the extra yarn needed! The yarn is dk on size US6/4mm 24”/60cm circular knitting needles. It works up quickly with just knit and purl stitches. Included is a big...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is an easy, quick, attractive pattern for mitts to fit your favorite male or larger female. It is stretchy and fits beautifully due to that stretchiness. It matches my “One Hat To Rule Them All” hat pattern! So, if you want a set, look that up! (Please note: hat pattern shown here is NOT included in this pattern.)
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This celebratory pattern is for all those who have birthdays! It will fit a teen through adult sized head. Chocolate cake with lit candles encircle the colorful crown of this perfect-for-the-birthday-person hat! Make it a tradition to wear this special hat blowing out candles or all day or week long for a birthday celebration.
Knitting: Softies - Other
This is such a festive decoration for your holiday home! He is the next installment in my gnome collection of patterns. He is worked in the round in budget friendly and rugged Berocco Vintage DK. I really like this yarn for toys and children’s items. It’s washable and durable and has a wide color range.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a wonderful unisex hat pattern for older children through adults. It fits a head circumference of 18”/45.7cm through 26”/66cm comfortably. It’s only 1x1 ribbing and stockinette stitch. So, easy. The colorwork is basic Fair Isle type. You could also use duplicate stitch on the colorwork section, if you prefer. The hat is also great witho...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts are easy and fun to knit! The colorwork is simple Fair Isle, but you could use duplicate stitch instead, if desired. The mitts would also look great in one or two colors, if you’d like a quicker, easier knit. These, along with the “HO HO Hat”, would make excellent holiday gifts for older children through adults. And they are unisex!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This great little fingerless mitts pattern is easy and quick. Perfect for quick gifts with a personal touch. You’ll need a skein of dk yarn and a set of four double pointed needles in size US4/3.5mm (or size you need to achieve the gauge). I chose Berroco Vintage DK for its reasonable price and hard working nature. It’s washable but still soft....
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The skies here in southern California are usually cloud free this time of year. But with the warming climate and more moisture in the air, we often have big fluffy clouds all over our crystal blue sky.
Knitting: Softies - Other
Here’s another pattern installment in my series of gnomes. This one is just trying to stay cool. A red kerchief covers his overheated head and he wears no shoes (note the adorable toes!). He wears blue shorts and a white t-shirt.
Knitting: Cowl
Here is a lovely, lacy, but not difficult pattern for a fluffy cowl. You will use two strands of Trendsetter laceweight mohair/silk blend with a shiny strand of silver in the mix along with one strand of Berocco Vintage DK. The mohair adds whispers of fluff and a shimmer of tinsel and the dk is for strength. I chose the colors of Cinderella’s d...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love this shawl! It’s so cheery and summery! Knitted from fingering weight yarn from Emma’s and Gusto. You can use any fingering weight yarn, you’ll need around 800 yards. The beads (6/0 are optional, but add so much design interest and color and they add nice drape to the shawl.
Knitting: Animal Toy
Here is a fun pattern for a cheeky little monkey toy. It would be so cute in a kid’s room hanging from the top of the curtains or bedpost!
Knitting: Doll
I love gardening. We moved into a big house that we recently bought with our daughter and her family. The people previously owning this house must have enjoyed gardening also. There are veggies, flowers, roses, succulents, fruit trees and more. As a lovely surprise, the little strawberry plant in one of the planters has tiny baby strawberries a...
Knitting: Booties
Here’s a pattern that will be the hit of any baby shower! These can be made in any pretty flower shade and green to represent the leaves. I chose a rich purple for the “petals” and a heathery green for the “leaves”. There is a good size range since the garter stitch foot is stretchy! 6 to 24 months! So, they will get plenty of wear and the ties...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is just lovely. It’s light and swingy with a dash of beading. I chose a gorgeous yarn, fingering weight, with tiny drops of color. It can be worn with any outfit. Would also make a fine gift.
Knitting: Doll
Here’s a gnomy little fellow for your Halloween fun. He belongs to a grouping of gnomes I am working up for all seasons and holidays.
Knitting: Doll
This gnome was great fun to knit. This is “The Swimmer”, second in a series I’m working on. After all, who doesn’t want a gnome for each season, right?! It’s a pretty easy knit, nothing fancy going on. Too hot for that!
Knitting: Bonnet
This is an easy, stretchy, cute, and sassy bonnet with an adorable pixie point at the back for any little girl up to 18 months old. The shaping is approached in a different way to end up with a bonnet that feels good to your baby. It’s all knit… you don’t even need to purl!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
My mother is from London. The English love their flowers and my Mom is no exception. She has been a floral designer and we lived in England for 6 years when I was young. Now we all live in southern California. And flowers are still all around us!
Knitting: Pullover
This is a wonderful baby sweater for any adorable newborn - 3 month old you may know! All stockinette/stocking stitch except for an easy ribbing at neck, wrists and waist. It’s worked top down, allowing for lengthening easily if desired.
Knitting: Booties
I’m keeping the price low on this pattern because living is very expensive out there these days…and babies themselves are expensive! So, take advantage of this deal!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I LOVE this pattern! It is a joy to knit and to wear. It’s big enough to be easily worn in different ways. Look at the photos for suggestions on how to wear it. It’s ultra-feminine, crescent shaped and has deep lace on the bottom and a touch of lace at the top. It’s flowy and gorgeous! I chart the lace myself, so you won’t see these lace stitch...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This time of year, we in southern California experience “winter”. It gets rainy and cloudy. I’m in the foothills, so once in a long while, we even get some snow! We’re all quite happy when we get rain, because we need it so badly (and I can take a tiny vacation from watering my flowers!). Lately, we have had some great storms! Dark skies, omino...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I love this hat pattern; the rib is very stretchy and slinky! It’s warm without being bulky and oh so comfy! There is an adult size to fit even the largest of men and women and also there is a child’s size to fit school age kids. (Adult size is shown in darkest color.)
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pretty shawl is designed in honor of my niece, Angela. She is the “model” of the family and has her own sense of style. She’s tall and slim and everything looks good on her! Angela loves big, oversized sweaters. I thought the raw, organic qualities of Noro Akari would be perfect for her free spirit. She marches to her own drummer; and this...
Knitting: Mittens
These mittens work up quickly and are easy to knit! You can save even more time if you make them in one color, but the stripes are so much fun! For different sizes, you simply change needle and yarn size as detailed in the pattern. Use the same pattern, no matter the size!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I chose the yarn for this shawl because it’s a sweet, rosy shade of peachy-pink. I chose pearly colored 6/0 glass beads (you’ll need 645 of them) to contrast with the yarn color. Every stitch of this gorgeous shawl was used to cement my goal of gaining back some of the optimism that I’ve lost in recent years.
Knitting: Softies - Other
I live in southern California. We don’t get much snow. I’m up high, but not in the mountains, so maybe once or twice a year. I moved here with my family from upstate NY (lots of snow) and lived in many snowy places before that. Christmas season without any snow was weird at first. Then I started to love having roses blooming in January, lots of...
Knitting: Cowl
This is a softer than soft, downy cowl that’s big enough to be doubled around the neck. The fine mohair has an ethereal halo that begs to be touched. It’s got it all!….lace, baby mohair, silk, wool, and glinting beads. The beads are hooked on with a tiny crochet hook or a beading tool, instructions are included (it’s easy!).
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl was inspired by Oliver the cat. He was loved by my daughter and sadly died while she was out of town. I used the two most prevalent colors of his fur and echoed them in my choice of fingering yarn. I accented with beads in his darkest color. (beads are optional, though they add drama to the design and instructions for easily hooking ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I enjoyed knitting this snuggly, deep hat. I live in southern California and we don’t get snow often; but this summer has been sooooo hot and even muggy and I am longing for the white stuff!
Knitting: Poncho
This is a lovely project for fall. It’s light enough to wear on cool summer nights also. The lace offers a more feminine type of garment than the same old poncho. Here in southern California, it’s about as heavy as I’d ever need even though we get snow once or twice a year at our elevation.
Knitting: Tee
This is a sweet little top for any little girl. The interesting thing about this pattern is that the top has lace on the sleeves and on the back, (not the front!). The ribbing is decorative and easy. So it looks adorable from all angles! The lace is charted and the charts are large and easy to read. You will need to know or learn how to k, p, k...
Knitting: Cardigan
This is a great basic cardigan for a girl or a boy with the options of more buttonholes and jaunty little bobbles above the waist ribbing. You have the choice of 6 or 7 buttons, if you want a little more length you can even add an 8th button. The pattern contains different sizes fitting 3 months to 5 years.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Now, this is what I call a “WOW” shawl. It’s big, drapes beautifully and has just a smattering of beads in the stockinette crescent shaping above the absolutely gorgeous lace (beads are optional: if you don’t want beads, just knit the stitch). The lace is deep (lace is original design) and it features a picot cast on at the bottom of the shawl ...
Knitting: Cowl
This is a lovely, sophisticated, elegantly feminine cowl. There are pearly beads and yarn that looks like rich velvet. It reminds me of the apparel worn during the Renaissance. The yarn is luxurious. The color, called Dragon fruit, is exquisite and the “pearls” are the finishing touch.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love the stunning colors in this shawl! The colors just melt from one to the next. I used two skeins of Stone Barn Fibers “Transitions”, color 2053, Sea Mist. I used one large skein (about 600 yds/548m) and one small skein (about 200 yds/183m) to get the wanted color effects. If you’d rather use only one color, you’ll need 800 yds of fingerin...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pretty shawl is perfect for a summer evening. Big enough to add warmth, but light and lacy with a bit of beading. (Beads are optional, you will need 800 size 6/0 glass beads.) The color of the lovely Alegria yarn reminds me of the berries on our big old mulberry tree and the summer ritual of sweeping the dropped berries off the patio.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
How about a lace shawl in a worsted weight yarn on size US 11/8mm, 32”/80cm circular needles in a big, workable size for wrapping easily?! Good idea, right?! This stunning shawl is quick and not too hard, with a color evoking a glorious western sunrise. This design would also look wonderful in a solid or in other colorways. It’s a good way to u...

Ring your head in ravens. If you are a fan of Poe, this hat is perfect for you. It’s also good for bird lovers of all types. It will nicely fit an 18” - 22” head circumference; probably a 10 year old through adult.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is a lovely, warm set of fingerless mitts using a budget friendly, great all around wool from Berroco called Lanas. It’s a light worsted and I used a size US 5/3.76mm set of five double pointed needles. This size makes the mitts warm enough to keep out the winter cold or, the chilly a/c!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This time of year and especially after the monumental stress of the last months, we can use a comforting, keep you toasty pattern. I chose the name “Warm Cider” to echo the yummy steamy warmth of hot cider on a cold day. I chose a color to resemble the cider, but this hat would look good in practically any solid color. Also available is my “War...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Butterfly Kisses….I remember getting them from my Mom and I gave them to my daughter and now to my grandkids. A sweet tradition that brings smiles to my face as I remember more innocent times.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These festive mitts will bring a smile to the face of your favorite Santa’s Helper. Fairly easy, with stranded two-color body and green ribbing, they work up fairly quickly. You can also make these in non-holiday colors. Shades of black/grey/white or any colors you want will look nice. (These can also be worn by a man: use size US 6/4mm dpns an...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This lovely, generously sized, crescent shaped shawl uses two skeins of solid (Peekaboo Yarns Fingering in Celadon) and one skein of multi colored (Elevate Deluxe Sock in Montana Outfitter Tour August). It’s intricate and feminine and would make a heavenly wedding shawl in white, ivory, or blush. I added size 6/0 beads in the lace to resemble r...

These are great colorwork ivy themed mitts! This is a good design for the gardeners among us! They are big enough to work for most adults, men and women. You can make them fairly quickly for gifts and because of the colorwork (makes a “double” layer of yarn inside), they are nice and warm without disabling your fingers.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts are so cute with their knitted in optical illusion. They are a match to my “Optics” cowl, also on ravelry.com! Great for gifts, they work up quickly and can be worn by female and male hands. (For a bigger hand, use a light worsted and size US 6 needles.)

Knitting: Cowl
This is the second installment of my optical illusion series. This cowl is a generous 7” wide and 33” in circumference. The illusion of the blocks of black moving slightly in each set makes the lines, which are actually straight, look like they are slanted. So cool!
Knitting: Cowl
Here’s a graphic, bold cowl with fun, vibrant edges for fashion and warmth. Great worn as is, but big enough to double, if you’d like. It’s easy stranded knitting.
