Thinkin' Socks
This is a great first sock pattern, especially if you want to learn how to add an afterthought heel. There is nothing left to the imagination in this pattern. I will be teaching this as a class, so the pattern is written in tutorial format with lots of photos and tips for successful sock knitting. You will knit an easy tube sock, then go back and add a quick heel. Easy peasy!
These socks fit beautifully, hugging the foot, but will not lay perfectly flat off the foot without blocking. So don’t let that stop you!
I like striped sock yarn for this pattern, so that the heel and toe form a “target” pattern. Very cute.
I used fingering weight superwash Merino and size US 2/2.75mm double pointed needles.
