Take a piece of Anglo Saxon history and add it to your knitting project! Included are charted runes of 15 stitches tall and various widths, depending on the “letter” depicted. Each letter represents a letter in the English alphabet. So, chart and stitch your name, an organization, anything at all…!

Included are a beanie pattern, a wristband pattern, all of the charted runes and directions for charting your own name or phrase and working them into your knitting.

The designs are simplified, so not too difficult to work. The hat is knitted from light worsted weight wool. I chose a great all-around wool, Cascade 220 Superwash. It washes beautifully and holds up well. It comes in great colors. Shown are colors 856 and 892.
