I used Twinn (100 % merino, 100 g/700 m) for the sample but you can use any wool, merino or wool-silk blend of a similar weight.

It is a simple top-down seamless sweater. The original yarn is from here but any mohair 25g/200-220 m will do. There are plenty silk mohair yarns that satisfy the criteria.

The yarn is 70 % Gotland wool, 30 % merino, 100 g/300 m. I used two skeins (600 m) but you can make your scarf longer.

Yarn recommendations: you can use any mohair or several threads of mohair that gives you the same weight (25 g/110 m). Or combine mohair with linen, as in the original yarn.

This is a simple top down sweater with circular yoke. If you cannot get the original yarn, you can combine fingering weight sock yarn and thin mohair (35 g/210-250 cm) or Drops Air and Drops Lace. The sweater is meant to be worn with positive ease.

This is a classical triangular shawl started from the neck, except that it has longer ends. This is achieved through short rows.

This is a fun stitch, it is the same on write and wrong side. The gauge is not important. You can use practically any yarn. It would look nice in variegated yarn, wool or mohair.

The shawl is in a shape of boomerang, which is achieved trough the system of increases and decreases. The gauge is not critical, although it may affect the size of your shawl and the amount of yarn. Pick the needles so that you like the fabric, it should be open and airy.

This is a simple scarf with long ends. It consists of three sections: increase section, straight section and decrease section. You can easily adjust the length and the width. Be careful though because the mesh pattern has a tendency to stretch in the length after blocking.

The yarns are easily substitutable: any mohair 25 g/210-240 m and any laceweight wool or merino is fine. In my sample I used grey mohair and black merino. You can experiment, putting together two strands of yarns in contrasting colours.

The traditional Estonian lace pattern võilillelehekiri (dandelion leaves) looks great on linen. Gauge 14 stitches and 12 rows (one pattern repeat) = 7 cm x 4 cm. 90 g for size S, 100 g for size M, 130 g for size L.

This is a seamless top-down vest. The lace pattern is known as tornikiri (’tower stitch’) in Estonian tradition. I used Estonian yarn Elotroi Liisu; knowing that this may be exotic outside Estonia, I would suggest Drops Alpaca. Tiina’s test-knit version in Drops Alpaca and some modifications (in case you need a longer vest) are availabel here.

I named this pattern Sivilla after Sivilla Wetterhoff, a wonderful blend of wool and silk. You can experiment with different yarns, as shawl knitting is incredibly versatile. Mohair or wool would be nice. The gauge is not critical. If you choose Sivilla Wetterhoff, 3 skeins is needed. The pattern includes 2 charts.
