This is a versatile pattern that you can adjust to practically any yarn. You can utilize leftovers, experiment with gauges and textures, you name it. It starts as a triangular shawl and gradually turns into a sickle shaped shawl.

Classical triangular shawls are nice but there is a problem if you want to have longer ends and not so fast growth in the height. So here is a way to create longer ends.

Level: advanced. You need to be familiar with the concept of short rows
I used Lithuanian 4 ply linen but it is quite possible to use wool, cotton, merino, mohair, you name it. The gauge is not critical. Get the fabric you like. Any simple stitch pattern would be nice. My shawls are in stockinete but consider garter stitch, simple eyelets, alternation of stockinete and reverse stockinete etc.

The recipe explains the construction principle. In the sample I used 3 colours. You can have any number of colours you like.

You will need several pairs of circular needles because towards the end rows will be long. Or get 1-2 pairs of 100-120 cm circular needles for the final sections.
