SUMU (meaning fog in Finnish) is a scarf knitted with two colours using the intarsia technique. The scarf is knitted in 1/1 rib throughout and features a geometric play on stripes. It is inspired by the layers of fog over the landscape.

Jälki means tracks (like animal tracks or imprints) in Finnish. This was my inspiration for the eyelet pattern on the vest. It reminds me of forest walks and time outdoors, where you might stumble upon a footprint and wonder what it is. It’s also one of the perfect settings to wear the vest.

SOLMU means “knot” in Finnish. I was inspired by this regional costume from the Netherlands called “ broenbonte kraplap” . I loved the concept right away: practical, timeless and emphasizing freedom of wear. The piece is easy to layer and can be worn all year long. KOKKO means bonfire in Finnish. This was my inspiration for the undulating cable pattern of the sweater. It reminds me of feeling warm, comfortable and slightly sleepy-hypnotised by looking at the flames of a fire.
