Wonderful mitts for all knit in cozy Isager Highland wool.

This is a beautiful hat knit in Semilla Dk, a soft organic wool yarn from bc garn available in loads of wonderful colours. Just one ball of each colour will be enough for any of the three sizes, to fit a child through to an adult. It’s also a great knit for any gender.

Zach the crocodile has a soft and cuddly finish.

With his thick loop stitch mane, Theodore the lion makes a fun and tactile companion.

Miranda the elephant is big and squishy, perfect

This is the third pattern from A Year of Techniques - a collection of 12 patterns to teach you new knitting skills.

Spruce is also available in print from Loop.

Knit from the bottom up, in the round. Escher features a bold graphic pattern softened with a folded up brim and a pompom on top! A super-cosy hat that the whole family will love!

Size

Knit from the top down with a geometric floral motif.

Euclidean is knit flat in three pieces and joined together to make a reversible cushion with a button band running along the back. The beautiful natural shades of the undyed yarn soften the geometric design, giving the cushion a calm, balanced look.

I have also designed an adult cardigan that uses the same colourwork motif, Spruce.

Essie is knit from the top down in the round, with minimal finishing. The colourwork detail is made by simply knitting small popcorns across the single row of stripes. Apart from the raglan increases, Essie has no shaping, giving the sweater a modern, boxy finish. A warm-weather sweater that’s as easy to knit as it is wear!

A striking infinity scarf knit in the round using shaping and colourwork to form overlapping circles. Venn is a unique and fun knit inspired by the designer Rachel Castle’s screen prints. Venn can be worn looped once around the neck or doubled for extra warmth.

Knit with long contrast coloured cuffs and a simple striped thumb gusset. Delta Mitts are comfortable, cosy and quick to knit.

Delta Hat is deceptively straight forward to knit. Using simple decreases, the bold geometric design flows effortlessly into a heavily patterned crown.

Hedgerow playmat sets the scene for an idyllic rural environment.

Small but strong, Shetland Pony has a calm and patient nature.

Wensleydale lamb is covered in tiny tight curls that will grow later into the famous lustrous longwool fleece.

Plum Pudding Pig is inspired by the Oxford Sandy and Black, a hardy outdoor breed with patches of black colouring and a gentle temperament.

Moggy the barn cat loves stretching in the sun, rolling in dust and napping on Lucy’s lap. She’s a languorous cat, preferring cuddles to catching mice!

Picnics by the pond wouldn’t be complete without the hopeful quack of Dabbling Duck.

This pattern completes the Lucy doll pattern - some parts of the pattern only work with reference to the doll pattern.

Lucy is just about the happiest doll you could meet! Surrounded by animal friends, she loves life on the smallholding.

Fancy Hen makes a cheerful addition to the home. The colourwork design is inspired by patterned ceramic tiles and the flower motif is similar to traditional fairisle designs.

Pretty and practical, these long fingerless mitts are made from cosy Shetland wool.

This sweet little dachshund will be adored by all ages. The colourwork design was originally inspired by Scandinavian printed textiles, but with colours reminiscent of Victorian floor tiles. One very sophisticated little pup!

A simple and elegant design that can be dressed up or down.
