Easy but effective pattern. The design gives a lot of interest which still stands out when worn. The length of this cowl means that it looks great wrapped double and then gives a really chunky and urban look.

I used a soft chunky yarn from Katia. This colour is a pale grey which means it should mix with nearly all other colours you’re wearing.

You can use any chunky / bulky yarn you like though.

It is knitted flat on two needles and joined together at the rear.

Written in full, easy to follow instructions in English, with both British and American terms throughout.

Approximately 14sts and 16 rows to 10 cm / 4 in square in pattern on 8 mm needles.
Tension / gauge is not crucial for cowls, as it will only result in a slight variation of size on the finished article.
