Sweet and simple for girls or boys! This little hat and sock set was inspired by the pending birth of my first grand baby.

Tiny dots is ideal for novice sock knitters that want to try using a simple textured stitch in their project. A quick gift project for new babies…and, you can make use of your leftover sock, fingering or baby weight yarns.

I chose this textured stitch so the socks and hat would complement an old favourite of mine that is no longer in print, “Trendy Topper, Crossover Buttoned Cardigan”, pattern #5 in Patons #612, Baby, Baby.
