Spinning in Circles
Spinning in Circles is surprisingly easy to knit, but there are some fun little challenges thrown in to keep your interest. Simple purl stitches enclose the spin stitch to give the illusion of an interlocking gridwork of circles across the piece. The faux I-cord edges match the I-cord bind off at both (yes, both) ends. It is attractive on the wrong side but is wide enough to fold over so the right side remains visible if you prefer. You will find the stitch pattern is intuitive, and, before long, you won’t even need the chart. I predict you’ll want to expand the pattern for a beautiful wrap or blanket or even include some “spins” in reverse. Purl Soho’s Cashmere Merino Bloom is the perfect yarn for spoiling yourself. It feels heavenly as a scarf around your neck. It is equally dreamy and delightful slipping through your fingers as you knit.
