This little girl’s skirt checks all the boxes for me: a cheerful color, an interesting waistband, a new stitch pattern, and some simple stockinette in between. It begins with a provisional cast on. The yarn over/k2tog at the fold line makes a cute picot edge at the top of the waistband, which encloses a drawstring closure for an adjustable fit. The daisy chain is created with multiple yarn overs that are dropped and wrapped on the following round. Since the number of stitches doubles for each tier, the result is a twirly skirt that any little girl will enjoy.
