The Spanish Sunset Shawl is inspired by memories of strolling hand in hand along the promenade, pausing to watch the sun slide slowly into the gentle ripples of the Mediterranean.

This rectangular shawl is crocheted with 4x100g balls of Scheepjes Unity, a sport weight variegated yarn with an amazing drape. There are two colour schemes included in the pattern, or you could choose your own favourites.

The pattern uses a combination of four different wave stitches, starting with subtle narrow waves and transitioning through to wide lacy waves, reflecting the sea from the horizon to the beach. The colours also change as the sea approaches the beach, making each Spanish Sunset Shawl a unique creation.
