The sun’s shining, get ready, let’s go to the coast! The Bright and Breezy Scarf is the perfect accessory for those spontaneous trips. It’s lightweight and floaty with a little bit of bounce, just remember to grab it as you dash out of the door.

The scarf is crocheted with a single 100g ball of sock yarn. The stitch pattern uses a simple combination of doubles, trebles and chains to produce a pretty lacy scarf which will keep the sea breeze off your neck and add the finishing touch to your outfit. Choose your favourite sock yarn or hand dyed skein, grab your hook and have fun crocheting your new scarf!

The original Bright and Breezy Scarf shown in the top pictures was made with Yarnsmiths Merino Sock Print, 1x100g ball in colourway Muted Earth, using a 3.5mm hook. Length 180cm, width 16cm. This yarn produces a lovely soft scarf.

The heather version shown in the lower pictures was made with Rico Socks Soft Spin, 1x100g ball in colourway 01, Fun Tones, using a 3.5mm hook. Length 170cm, width 19cm.

Sock yarn is available in so many amazing colours and patterns - I’d love to see which colours you choose for your Bright and Breezy Scarf!
