SLIDEWAYS SCARF AND HAT PATTERNS BOTH AVAILABLE
Why not purchase the matching Slideways Hat pattern, and make the set?
Both scarf and hat can be made from just 200g of each colour, making it actually more economical to buy the second pattern, and end up with left over yarn going to waste…
If you buy both (or have already bought one, and buy the second to match) you will receive a discount on the set at the checkout.
I’m really excited about the thought of you getting the chance to knit this beautiful and elegant scarf.
Graceful stripes of colour drift sinuously and smoothly across both faces of the scarf. They slide sideways with ease, and if you squidge those two words together, you get “Slideways”.
Very simple increases and decreases, judiciously placed throughout the pattern, control how the columns of stitches react and interplay with each other in the work.
I could have sent them off in all sorts of wild and crazy directions, creating an array of eye-popping effects, but I’ve chosen to keep this one nice and simple, and although it might look complicated, it’s actually deceptively easy, containing at most, one increase and one decrease, every second row.
Worked in the double-knitting technique, this reversible and super-squishy scarf is made from two colours of DK-weight yarn.
It only has 32 pairs of stitches per row, which makes it a much quicker knit than you might imagine.
