Using simple stitches to great effect, the Ertebolle hat takes its inspiration from the geometric patterns found on early pottery.

The pattern is named after a world-famous Mesolithic site in north Jutland, Denmark. it is famous for its shell middens but unusual shards of Mesolithic pottery have also been found nearby.

The hat is knitted in the round using a rustic aran-weight with good drape and stitch-definition. The textured pattern is fully charted.
