Are you looking for a quick and easy knitting project to use up scraps of sock yarn? Then the AYO socks are just the project for you! You can use as many colors as you like and choose them as you knit. It’s so satisfying to see the colorwork unfold!

These socks are also a great learning opportunity. You’ll learn which colors look great together and which ones dull each other down. You can experiment with different shades and saturations and learn how to choose colors with good contrast. Trust me - this knowledge will be extremely useful for all your future colorwork projects.

The pattern includes 6 sizes, so that you can make the AYO socks for all your loved ones. I hope you will love them just as much as I do! Happy knitting!

This pattern was professionally tech edited and test knit before the release. I was not able to find testers for the size 1 though. If you are interested in testing this size, please send me a message.

SIZES
1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

15 (17, 19, 20.5, 22.5, 24.5) cm
6 (6.75, 7.5, 8, 8.75, 9.5) “

CHOOSING A SIZE
The AYO socks are intended to be worn with 1 cm / 0.5 “ of negative to neutral ease around the largest part of your foot. The colorwork pattern looks prettiest if you wear them with neutral ease. If you prefer your socks to sit nice and snug, wear them with a little negative ease.

Pictured are the socks in a size 4 with a shorter foot on European shoe size 38 - 39, UK shoe size 5.5 - 6 and US shoe size 7.5 - 8.

YARN
48 (58, 72, 88, 100, 118) g of Retrosaria Mondim (100 g, 385 m / 421 yds, 100% Portuguese wool)

You need at least 6 colors and can choose yourself how much you’ll use of each color.

Please note that these values are only estimates. Changes in yarn or gauge as well as changes of the pattern can result in a different yardage.
