Soohyun Nam, a.k.a. sootangos, is a Korean-Canadian designer based in Toronto, Canada. A classically trained cellist and former refugee and immigration lawyer, she puts her synesthetic interpretations of texture, colour, sounds, and stories from around the world into her creations.

Knitting is an ongoing expression, an everyday art, freedom, and experiment for me -- a way to escape, immerse, learn, and play.

I strive to create and share designs that are accessible and impactful, with efficient use of techniques maximizing visual and textural effect.

My wish is to encourage fellow knitters to create and adapt to their own vision and ideas through my offerings, and to share the enjoyment of this wonderful, time-tested craft.
