As a child, a trip to the Theatre was a rare event. Each time I went, the scale of the spectacle was so overwhelming. Aisle after aisle of seats leading down to the stage and even seats high up in the walls! It seems my seats would always end up either in the Mezzanine, or the Parterre. Just behind the Orchestra seating.

This top down sock features a heel flap and gusset. The gusset is on the bottom of the foot and creates arch shaping for a perfect fit. An optional double gusset allows for a customized fit to decrease away any extra stitches left after the initial gusset decreases.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks, Ankle Sock, Knee-highs
This basic sock pattern includes a chart with cast-on numbers for a wide range of sizes and gauges. It is written for the experienced sock knitter, not a beginner. The unique part of this pattern is the double gusset heel, a technique I developed several years ago. It results in a heel that hugs the foot and creates arch shaping for the most co...

Formerly known as the “Solid Socks Mystery KaL June 2013” - these are an adult Bobby Sock!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
You know the acronym, and I bet you like to keep it simple with your lace shawl knitting sometimes too. The K.I.S.S shawl is exactly that. A simple, curved, shawlette that can be made with one skein of sock yarn, or larger by simply continuing the repeats until you’re sick of knitting or using a heavier yarn. Use size US 5 needles for sock yarn...

Sometimes you just want a nice, cozy, slouchy hat. With style. Sometimes you wish that hat wasn’t so slouchy. Have the best of both worlds with Rouched & Ready. Undulating basketweave rib gives this cozy hat texture, while a clever double knit stockinette column creates a tube designed to keep your head warm while allowing for the hat to be...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks

Who says that a pair has to be made out of the same pattern? If they’re made with the same yarn, then theoretically, they’re a matching pair right? Calvin & Ripple are made out of the same fur, but they couldn’t be more different. And believe me, they make quite a pair.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
The pattern is written as an introduction/tutorial to my favorite sock architecture. It is 5 pages long, and does have a good bit of my own notes/tips included. Of course, I am always available for any assistance you may need with this pattern.
Knitting: Electronics Cozy
Create a shiny Jayne Hat style Cozy for your GPS! Written for a gauge of 3 stitches to the inch for a 9.5 inch circumference cozy (model shown is a Magellan Maestro) this pattern provides the math to create your own cozy for a custom fit. Be sure to use cotton! We don’t want our electronics to be damaged by moisture absorbing wool!
Crochet: Market bag (slouchy)
Gauge is not important on this handy market bag. As written, this uses every bit of one skein of Euroflax Linen. If you have extra yarn in your stash you may choose to finish it off with a single crochet edging around the handles and top of bag. The linen makes this bag really sturdy, but any kitchen cotton can be substituted. For something lik...
Knitting: Knee-highs
This pattern takes the original Red Dwarf pattern a step further, taking advantage of the easy-going nature of the random ribbing between the two lace panels and shaping the sock to go all the way up to the knee! The pattern as written is for a 50 stitch sock at 6 spi but this pattern is so easily adaptable to any stitch count you can use finge...
