Knitting: Beanie, Toque
When I first made this hat I made it to look cool and my husband pointed out that the poor guy was losing. I have now made a winning and a losing side (the losing side looks way better) but you can’t make a loser’s hat (or can you?).

Sometimes it is hard to find a pattern that works for colour changing yarn, they look beautiful in the skein /or ball but what do you do with them? You make a beautiful blanket! By combining the colour changing yarn with two other colours, that work with the colour changing yarn (I like to pick colours that are slightly lighter or darker than t...
Knitting: Cardigan
This is a fairly easy sweater to make (the cable is a little different). once you get use to the pattern you can make this sweater without the pattern ( you will just have to remember to stop when it measures the right length). The pattern will allow you to make both the cap sleeve version and the full length sleeve. I have included a preemie s...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern was made to be a part of the Harvest Weave collection, that was made with my mothers colour choices in mind. This Slip Stitch (Mosaic) colour work pattern is easy to knit and easy to follow with written instructions. If you want something that no one else has and is going to catch peoples attention, this is a great pattern to knit ...
Knitting: Mittens
The great thing about these mitts is that they grow with the child, with the vertical striping these mitts will either stretch or shrink vertically to fit the child and will fit for more than just one winter.

Knitting: Hats - Other, Beanie, Toque
This hat was inspired by my love of colour work and my mom’s love of anything red and orange. I was talking to her recently about a project she was working on and she said that she had ripped some back and changed the colours because there was too much orange she didn’t think that it was possible but it HAD happened.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
Do you get inspired by the older women in your family? Me too! This scarf was inspired by my husband’s Grandmother who at 80 continues to inspire and support her kids and grandkids in many ways, while maintaining her soft, pretty, up- to- date yet classic style. This subtle classic slip stitch colour pattern is perfect for women with her amazin...
Knitting: Cowl
This Yarn came from the Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze, He always makes beautiful colour combinations. As someone who loves making colour work patterns it is wonderful to see what combinations he can come up with next. He loves playing with colours so much that it is sometimes hard to find a solid colour to work with along with the vast selection o...
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl was inspired by my Mom. My Mom and I have very different interests in colours I tend to pick muted natural tones and my mother picks bright vibrant colours. I picked out these colours with her in mind. Mothers and daughters can have very different opinions just like our colour choices, in the end we both love this cowl.
Knitting: Scarf
I love slip stitch colour work and want more people to give it a try. I have written this pattern in hopes that you will download it and at least look at how simple it is or watch the video on Youtube Video Here to take some of the fear out of slip stitch colour work. You never carry the yarn behind, you switch your colours and slip stitches to...
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
This Capelet was originally designed for the Cabin Fever book “Need an Accessory?”. I have made this pattern available here in fingering weight yarn, in the book there are instructions for sock weight to chunky weight.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat was inspired by two parents who love dragons and had a little one on the way. When I showed my friends the hat I had made for their little one, the father wanted to know if I could make one for him and as a result the pattern has instructions from newborn all the way up to large adult.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat was inspired and named by my oldest son. He told me that it looks like cooled lava rock has cracked open and that you can see the fresh hot lava flowing underneath.
Knitting: Cowl
After making the Pin Box patterns I was inspired to make more patterns with slip stitches and multi coloured yarn.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I enjoy making and wearing mittlets and will use any excuse to design another pair. This pattern was made to go with the Pin Box Slouch Hat and Cowl. The pattern is very similar but I have incorporated some ribbing in the pattern to add flexibility so that they are snug but still easy to put on.
Knitting: Cowl
The Pin Box Cowl was inspired by Cascade Yarns Heritage Paints in the Honey Sage colourway. I fell in love with the yarn but had to search for a stitch pattern that would work with this multi-coloured yarn. I finally landed on a slip stitch pattern that I liked combined with the Turquoise colour way.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
After I made the Antique Silver Cowl I couldn’t help myself, it was an easy knit and I wanted to make something else with this pattern and Yarn. These Mittlets have interesting colour work, you never work with more than one colour in a round so it looks harder than it is. With Aran Weight yarn they are fast as well as easy.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern was inspired by the ease of slip stitch colour work. If you want to try a small project this is a good one to try. It is in the round and there’s no sewing.
Knitting: Hats - Other
If you are searching for a slouch hat and love the way colour work looks but don’t want to carry yarn behind your work as you knit? Then this is the hat for you.
Knitting: Hats - Other
This is a soft and light weight Slouch hat, the colour work is easy. The use of a quick changing colored yarn is a great addition to this hat making the colour work even more dynamic. Pick a colour that is not in the colour changing yarn but is a complimentary colour to keep the pattern from having fade out spots. There is also mittlets and a c...
Knitting: Scarf
My friend Katie wanted a wide winter scarf. She picked the colours and I found a stitch pattern that I thought she might like. When I showed it to her she said “I like it but… can you put it at an angle?”
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I wanted to design a pair of mittlets that were easy and quick to make that also had and interesting stitch pattern. The oblique rib pattern smoothly circles all the way around the mittlet and the thumb is a k1, p1 rib making it a snug comfortable fit. These mittlets are very flexible. They can be made in Small/Medium or Medium/Large.
Knitting: Scarf
This pattern was inspired by the love that a daughter has for a mother. The knots that are in this pattern remind me of roses, one of the timeless images that represents love and women. Being a Horticulturalist and a designer how could I resist?
Knitting: Cowl
This pattern was inspired by the yarn. I love colour work and I did not want the pewter pink to over power the pattern. The 3 colours look great together and I wanted them all to shine which isn’t always an easy thing to do. Who doesn’t love a little texture and a pattern that is much easier then is appears to be. If you know how to Knit, purl ...
