The A1 socks are my go-to socks when I want a straightforward project or when I’m testing out a new pattern. In the knitting community, they’re often referred to as “vanilla” or “basic” socks, but I like to call them A1. Every seasoned knitter has their favorite, tried-and-true, method, and this is mine.

As a child I wished to find the gate to the mysterious garden, according to the children’s book Zahrada by Jiří Trnka (Zahrada means garden in Czech). I never did but it inspired me to design these socks. They were inspired by decorative garden trellis and flowers you can see through them.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Pixel Snow Socks were designed for enthusiastic beginners to try their first stranded colorwork knitting on socks. The pattern doesn’t skip more than three stitches, and there aren’t many rows to knit. Just pick two colors and get started!
