Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is made with a half skein each of 2 colors of Malabrigo Rasta (or another super bulky yarn). It is a close-fitting cowl. If you want it larger, increase the CO by increments of 6 stitches. You will need more yarn for a larger size.
Crochet: Cowl
This cowl is crocheted with a half skein each of two colors of Malabrigo Rasta (or another super bulky yarn). It is a close-fitting cowl. If you want something larger, add stitches to your beginning chain in an even number. You will need more yarn.
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
This crocheted ornament uses a 3.5 inch plastic ornament as it’s base. It is worked in the round, crocheted bottom-up. The ball is placed inside, and the last few rows are worked around the ball. I decorated mine with a bow. The pattern uses about 20 grams of worsted weight yarn. Perfect for using up leftovers!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The pattern for this hat was inspired by an old store bought sweater that I have. I love the ribs between the offset cables. Make the brim longer if you want it to fold up.
Crochet: Scarf
This is a great scarf for a beginner. You can practice single crochet, double crochet, and a simple shell. This pattern has a clear chart as well as written instruction so you can learn to read charts as well!
Crochet: Scarf
This linen and silk scarf is breezy and light, perfect for a cool summer night. Worked with a larger than normal hook, you create stitches that will block out to a lacy chevron pattern.
Crochet: Scarf
A light-weight scarf for spring worked in any fingering or sock weight yarn! The scarf blocks out to 10 x 67 inches. It took two skeins of Koigu, which is only 350 yds. Your scarf can be left long for wrapping and tying, or you can whipstitch the ends together for an awesome infinity scarf. The pattern even matches up if you sew the ends!
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
This mitt was designed to match a hat made for me by my friend, Tomoko--hence the name, Tomoko Fingerless Mitts!
Crochet: Baby Blanket
This stroller blanket will make the perfect gift for a baby girl. Make it in the colors shown, or choose your own scheme. The finished size of the pattern is 23 x 23 but you can easily make a bigger blanket by increasing your beginning chain and adding rows!
Crochet: Scarf
This pattern was inspired by the knit scarf “Just Enough Ruffles” by Laura Chau. I named it the Piecrust Scarf because when I was blocking it, the motion of pulling out the ruffles felt the same as when I make the fluted edge on a pie!
Crochet: Cowl
This is a versatile pattern that makes great use of many yarn types. Hand painted or variegated yarns can be showcased between the accent stripes. One of my testers used recycled Sari yarn and marveled at how well it worked in this pattern. Use up your 10-yard bits by making single rows of different yarns between the accent stripes. Make it man...
Crochet: Scarf
This is an unusual scarf, a modern crocheted design that will be commented on every time you wear it! I have charted the pattern and also provided written instructions. You build the scarf on motifs, which are then joined as you go. Once the pattern is broken down, it’s not as hard as it looks! You should know: double crochet, single crochet, s...
