Knitting: Scarf
Directional was written to celebrate Local Yarn Store Day 2021.
Knitting: Mittens
These mittens were inspired by a hobnail bedspread in my grandparents’ guest room when I was a child.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This large triangular shawl was inspired by Log Cabin quilt squares. It features 6 different slip-stitch patterns, meant to simulate printed quilting cotton.

Four, quad, tetrad, quaternary, quadripartite…. fourth. This is the fourth cowl in my series of annual cowls. And what a year is was. In the past 12 months, my yarn store of choice was closed due to fire (not its building, but the restaurant next door), a coworker was killed in a car accident, and, well, 2020 rolled in and the Covid-19 pandemic...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Well. This pattern was going to be a pattern for 2020 Local Yarn Store Day, but the COVID-2019 pandemic threw a wrench into those plans. I don’t want to wait until September to release, so this is now a “Support Your Local Yarn Store” pattern.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
You say you are on the road near a fiber festival or on a yarn crawl? Your tote bag is full of interesting yarn you got as a remembrance of your trip, but you only picked up single skeins? AND you need something simple to knit while your partner in crime is handling driving duty?
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Bloody Mary is a squared-off extreme crescent (try finding that in the attributes listing), that easily hugs one’s neck and shoulders. It is a little bigger than a shawlette, but will never be confused with a huge, body-enclosing shawl. And it features stitch patterns that look as good on the reverse as on the front - including the cable! - so ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Combine classic mathematical concepts (Fibonacci Sequence) with a classic knitting pattern (Feather and Fan) for a multi-color slightly asymmetrical crescent-shaped shawl with a flirty ripple edge.
Knitting: Hanging Ornament
Here’s a fun little thing you can make using the ends of skeins from other projects.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This extreme crescent shawl was inspired by the Op Art piece Blaze by Bridget Riley. Slanted lines of eyelets change directions, giving the illusion of concentric rotating circles.
Knitting: Mittens
This textured mitten has enough detail to be interesting both to knit and to wear, but isn’t so fussy that it is inappropriate for men. The broken rib pattern is easy enough to learn, and has the advantage of creating small air pockets that hold warmth.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
Worsted-weight hat inspired by the February Baby/February Lady sweaters.
