Lattices lets you play with color to get a striking hat. Sized for Teen/Adult S through Adult XL, it’s an engaging knit.
Samples size A and D were worked from the same 2 balls of yarn with colors reversed.

2 colors of Leading Men Fiber Arts Dramaturg or other DK weight yarn

Gauge
22 sts and 34 rounds to 4” in one-row-stripe stockinette stitch, worked in the round, after washing and drying

Needles
US 7 (4.5 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge, circular needle, 16” (40 cm) long PLUS needles to work small diameter tube (decrease section; DPNs, Magic Loop, or 2 Circular needles)
US 6 (4 mm), or one size smaller than that used to obtain gauge, circular needle, 16” (40 cm) long; used for ribbing

Other

Customization
Customize your Lattices by:

• knitting twice the ribbing for a folded brim (will affect yardage needed)
• for a slouchier fit, go up one hat size than indicated by your head measurement. Go down an additional needle size for the ribbing to tighten it up.
• add a pompom on top, made from either or both yarns, or a faux fur pom in coordinating or contrasting color
