Xion-hat is worked in the round from the brim up. The brim can be knitted straight or made sloped shaped with short rows.

Brim finished circumference non stretched 35.5, 38, 40.5 cm/ 14, 15, 16 inches.
Body finished circumference 41.75, 45, 48.75 cm/ 16.5, 17.75, 19.25 inches.
Height approximately 22 cm/ 8.75 inches.

Yarn

100 g of worsted weight yarn, app. 210 m (230 yds) per 100 g. The sample(size M) was knitted with Malabrigo Yarn Rios in colourway Cape Cod Gray, (100% Merino, 192 m/ 210 yds per 100 g) and used 75 g.

Needles & notions

3.75 mm/ US 5 and 4.50 mm/ US 7 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle, or set of four DPNs or size to obtain gauge
markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

23 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4 inches with larger needles in pattern after blocking.
