Brekka is a shallow triangle shaped shawl knitted sideways back and forth in one piece, from tip to tip with built-in I-cord edges. There is only one purl stitch in the shawl. The pattern is designed to be easily modified for size depending on the yarn you have to hand. Simply weigh your yarn before starting, and knit the increases until you have about half of what you started with left, knit the decrease section and weave in the two ends.

Yarn

100 g of fingering/sport weight yarn approximately 333-366 m / 364-400 yards.

The sample shawl was knitted with WoolWomen Merino Tencel (50% SW Merino, 50% Tencel, 333 m / 364 yards per 100 g) in colourway Gold Rush Passion.

Kolmion mallinen Brekka-huivi neulotaan neulotaan tasona lisäten toisessa reunassa kunnes haluttu leveys on saavutettu ja sen jälkeen kavennetaan samassa reunassa kärkeen asti. Siisti reunus neulotaan samanaikaisesti, joten viimeistely on minimaalista. Huivissa vain on yksi nurja silmukka. Voit muokata huivin kokoa helposti, langan riittävyyden voit varmistaa punnitsemalla langan ja aloittamalla kavennukset kun lankaa on hieman yli puolet jäljellä. Reunus näyttää rullaantuvan neuloessa, mutta pysyy tasaisena pingoituksen jälkeen.
