The stitch pattern was inspired by a beautiful heirloom blanket. Here it’s worked in a versatile size that can be a wrap, shawl or scarf.
Sulka Legato was a great choice for this wrap. The merino gives the soft plied yarn body, the alpaca adds drape and a bit of a halo (not too much!) and the silk luster makes the intermingling of knit and purl stitches shimmer. And that vibrant color…
5 skeins Mirasol Sulka Legato 50g, 274 yards- 60% Merino Wool, 20% Alpaca, 20% Silk Shown in color Carnation
Gauge - 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch
1 pattern repeat is 3” x 4”
24” US6/4mm or needle needed to achieve gauge
Finished Dimensions - Approximately 20” x 78”/51cm x 198cm after a gentle wet blocking
