Wind Shear is a top down swirl scarf made with worsted weight yarn and a size 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needle. As each new wedge section is added to the scarf, it curves the neckline. Once enough sections have been knit, switch to knitting the sawtooth border. The border includes some short rows and binds off each point across the bottom edge of the scarf. You can add a button and button the scarf into place through one of the yarnover holes. Finished size: 22” neckline x 8” deep at the deepest point. You’ll need 140-150 yards of one color or yarn or two colors of yarn (100 yards for body and 55 yards for the border). It’s easy to make it longer by working a few more repeats.

Watch for the Wind Shear Shawl coming in April!
