Warm Arms

The problem: A cold desk + short sleeves = cold forearms.
The solution: Knit this pattern!
Keep these arm warmers at your desk and never suffer from Cold Desk Syndrome again. You can also pair them with a t-shirt or short-sleeved sweater for transitional seasons, when the day may start cold and then warm up. Or just wear them for the style!
This is a beginner-friendly quick project that primarily involves knit, purl, and kfb stitches. But it also gives you the opportunity to use, or learn, the tubular cast-on and bind-off, which provide the perfect amount of stretch at the wrist cuff and upper arm, and also give a polished appearance. Links to tutorials for the tubular cast-on and bind-off are provided. You may substitute other methods if you prefer.
Sizes
Small (medium, large) corresponding to a wearer with a wrist circumference of approximately 6 (6.5, 6.75)“/15 (16, 17) cm and upper arm circumference of approximately 10.5 (11.5, 12.5)”/26 (29, 31) cm. Choose the size based on wrist circumference.
Gauge/Tension
24 stitches and 32 rows to 4”/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Supplies
Yarn: Approximately 75 (90, 110) grams/ 210 (250, 300) yards/ 195 (230, 275) meters DK-weight yarn. The sample was worked with Yarn Love Amy March DK in “Stained Glass.” This is a 100% superwash merino wool yarn with 280 yards per 4 ounces. Other wool or wool-blend yarns would also work well for this design.
Needles: US 4/ 3.5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge, plus one size smaller. These arm warmers are worked in the round, so you will either need double-pointed needles or a long circular needle, if you prefer to use the Magic Loop method.
Notions: One stitch marker.
