Le gilet Waldo est tricoté en jersey, en rayures fines pour les manches et larges pour le corps. On commence
par les pattes d’épaules, puis on tricote vers le bas, chaque devant et le dos. Quelques rangs raccourcis
biaisent les épaules.
Le travail est réuni après les emmanchures : on laisse en attente les mailles des manches pour ne tricoter que
le corps jusqu’au bas du gilet. On reprend ensuite les mailles des manches pour les tricoter en rond.
Le gilet est prévu avec une aisance d’environ 20 cm

The Waldo cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch, with narrow stripes for the sleeves and wider ones for
the body. You start with the shoulders straps, then knit downwards, each front and back. A few short rows
shape shoulders.
The work is joined after the armholes: stitches for sleeves are put on hold to knit only the body down to the
bottom of the cardigan. Then the sleeve stitches are picked up to knit in the round.
The cardigan is designed with approximately 20 cm / 8” ease.
