Uncia is now available as a single-pattern Ravelry download! This version has corrected the errata listed above, and contains both the charted and written instructions.

Uncia
Inspired by the geometry of Gothic and Romanesque rose windows, this design uses a twelfth-circle arc and a combination of lace and cables to create a hap that is both dramatic and easy to wear. The shape of the hap also gives it its name – uncia in Latin means ‘one-twelfth.’

Yarn
Fyberspates Vivacious 4 ply (4 ply/fingering weight; 100% superwash merino; 365m / 399yds; 100g skeins)
Pebble Beach (614); 2 x 100g skeins

Size
165cm / 65in along straight edges and 86.5cm / 34in wide at pointed edging, after washing and blocking

Needles and notions
1 pair 4.5mm (UK 7 / US 7) knitting needles (or 1 set of medium-length 4.5mm (UK 7 / US 7) circular needles)
Cable needle
Blocking wires and/or rust-proof pins

Gauge
17.5 sts and 28 rows to 10cm / 4in over st st using 4.5mm needles, after washing and blocking
1 rep of Chart H (Rows 353 – 400 of written instructions) measures 14cm / 5.5in wide by 20.5cm / 8in high, after washing and blocking
