This is a two color version of a pattern that first appeared in my book “Slip-Stitch Knitting, Color Pattern the Easy Way”. In this pattern you use slip-stitch knitting to create a whimsical band of kittens. The hat is knit in the round and can be made for children or adults simply by changing the yarn and needle size. The child’s hat is knit with sport weight yarn on size 5 needles, while the youth/adult version is knit with worsted weight yarn on size 7 needles.

For the child’s hat you’ll need 135 yards of purple and 75 yards of turquoise sportweight yarn . For the adult hat you’ll need 125 yards of purple and 55 yards of turquoise in light worsted yarn.
