Turtles! Tortoises! Terrapins!
Whatever your preferred name for shell-bedecked reptiles, this little guy provides plenty of protection for little messy eaters.
This is a crochet pattern suitable for intermediate crocheters, and involves the following techniques:
- Working in rounds and working in rows
- The following crochet stitches: ch, sc, hdc, dc, tr, sl st
- Clean Fasten off (instructions for this are included with the pattern)
Finished bib size is about 11.5” x 8”, and takes about 150 yards of worsted weight yarn.

Blue: Lily Sugar’n Cream: Tea Rose (or about 10 yds/10 m of desired worsted weight yarn)
Ecru: Lily Sugar’n Cream: Ecru (or about 80 yds/74 m of desired worsted weight yarn)
Pine Green: Lily Sugar’n Cream: Dark Pine (or about 30 yds/28 m of desired worsted weight yarn)
Lime Green: Lily Sugar’n Cream: Hot Green (or about 30 yds/28 m of desired worsted weight yarn)
