Trukunpeufou is a warm shawl that allows you to play with two lovely colors.
In 2018, I wanted to create a collection with 3 others people, one other designer and two dyers. Trukunpeufou is the only one pattern that I had the time to complete before this project was canceled. One of the theme we wanted for the collection was “the dreamer traveller”. When I dream of somewhere else, I dream about beaches, seas, waves. So I put my dream on my needles. I used patterns I affectionate a lot and I knit without thinking: garter stitch, brioche stitch and i-Cord. Both colors I used where created especially created by the dyers of the team for the project. I work them in colorblock so we can see both of them equally.

Something simple and efficient, the recipe of the perfect shawl.
The project name was “Crazy project”, so I named my shawl as a reminder of this special moment, Trukunpeufou is a French pun meaning “a little bit crazy thing”.
For information, the shawl on pictures measured 330 x 55 cm before blocking, 340 x 53 cm once blocked.

Material

-Yarn: fingering weight.

Here I used 2 skeins of Cosy from La pelote vagabonde (100% merinos SW single, 400 m /100g), “Bois de framboisier”colorway and 1 skein of Mérisingle from Madelaine et Filibert (100% merinos single, 365 m/100 g), “Île de Man” colorway.

• Circular needles 3,75 mm.
• About 20 markers.

Gauge

Gauge is not essential, but for information: 15 sts x 40 r with garter stitch or brioche stitch, back and forth, washed, blocked and dry: 10 x 10 cm.

Extra

• Each technique used in this pattern has a video link. Those videos are in French, but easily understandable just by watching.

• A picture of the shawl blocking with instructions is included.

Trukunpeufou est un châle doudou, parfait pour mettre en avant
facilement deux jolies couleurs. Ce châle est né de l’envie de créer une collection à 4 cerveaux, avec 2 designers et 2 teinturières. Bien que le projet n’est pas abouti, Trukunpeufou est le seul modèle qui a eu le temps de naître entièrement.

Le thème : voyageur rêveur. Lorsque je rêve de voyage, je rêve de plages, de mers, de vagues. J’ai donc tenté de mettre mon rêve sur mes aiguilles.
Des points que j’affectionne et que je fais sans réfléchir : le point mousse, le point brioche, l’i-Cord. Deux jolies couleurs créées pour l’occasion par les teinturières de l’équipe travaillée en colorblock pour les mettre en avant de manière égale. L’envie de faire simple et efficace. Et une jolie bordure en vagues à base de rangs raccourcis. La recette d’un long châle doudou.

Ce projet de collection avait pour nom de code “Projet fou”, j’ai
donc décidé de nommer ce châle ainsi pour garder une trace de cette jolie aventure.

À titre informatif le châle original mesurait 330 x 55 cm non bloqué, 340 x 53 cm une fois bloqué.

Ici 2 écheveaux de Cosy de La pelote vagabonde (100% mérinos SW single, 400 m /100g) coloris Bois de framboisier et 1 écheveau de Mérisingle de Madelaine et Filibert (100% mérinos single, 365 m/100 g) coloris Île de Man.

• Aiguilles circulaires 3,75 mm (préférez des 4 mm si vous tricotez serré).

• Une vingtaine de marqueurs.

Échantillon

L’échantillon n’est pas primordial pour ce projet, mais à titre indicatif : 15 m x 40 rgs au point mousse ou au point brioche, en aller-retour, lavé, bloqué et sec : 10 x 10 cm.
