Travesía hace referencia a un viaje, a mi propio viaje en el mundo del diseño.

Hace algunos años, cuando aún no pensaba en diseñar me tejí un top sencillo y rápido en algodón. Con el tiempo resultó ser una prenda versátil y cómoda que utilizo todos los veranos y en los cambios de estación.

Tiempo después empecé a diseñar y rápidamente apareció este tejido en mi mente como una prenda a la que darle vida y un diseño a compartir con el mundo.

Luego llegó a mis manos el hermoso hilado de Tejedora Chile, un algodón mercerizado de colores suaves y sútiles que creo que representan muy bien cómo ha sido esta aventura.

CONSTRUCCIÓN

Es un top tipo boxy con una holgura positiva de 18 a 20 cm. Se trabaja de abajo hacia arriba, realizando primero el cuerpo en circular y luego, al separar cuerpo y mangas se continúan espalda y delantero en plano, por separado.

A lo largo de todo el tejido repetirás un patrón sencillo de punto correteado o bobo, calados y puntos estirados, que memorizarás muy fácilmente.

Al terminar la prenda se trabajan algunas vueltas cortas para el escote tanto en el delantero como en la espalda y se le da un acabado en punto correteado, retomando los puntos del cuello y de las mangas.

Ha sido diseñado para 9 tallas: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) que corresponden a una circunferencia del busto de la prenda de 93 (103, 113, 123, 133) (143, 153, 163, 173) cm

HILADO

100% algodón mercerizado de Tejedora Chile , 400 m por cada madeja de 100 g.

Metraje: Utilizarás aproximadamente 650 (700, 740, 800, 873) (940, 1000, 1070, 1140) m.

Gramaje: Utilizarás aproximadamente 160 (170, 185, 200, 220) (235, 250, 270, 285) g.

El metraje y gramaje han sido calculados en base al hilado de muestra. Es posible que éstós disminuyan o aumenten de acuerdo al hilado con que se trabaje. Fibras como el bambú o ciertos algodones tienen más peso, así que tenlo en cuenta a la hora de calcular las cantidades.

AGUJAS

Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm o el grosor necesario para alcanzar la muestra de tensión (con cable de al menos 80 cm de largo y un cable corto para las mangas)

3 agujas de doble punta de 3.5 mm para el cierre de 3 agujas.

MUESTRA

19 pts x 30 Fs = 10x10 cm, tejida en punto: “Secuencia de 12 Vs en circular”con agujas de 3.5 mm o el grosor necesario para obtener la muestra medida después de bloquear

Travesía refers to a trip, to my own journey in the world of design.

Some years ago, when I wasn’t even thinking about designing, I knitted myself a simple and quick cotton top. Over time, it turned out to be a versatile and comfortable garment that I wear every summer and during seasonal changes.

Some time later, I started designing, and quickly this fabric came to mind as a garment to bring to life and a design to share with the world.

Then, the beautiful yarn from Tejedora Chile came into my hands, a mercerized cotton in soft and subtle colors that I believe represent very well how this adventure has been.

CONSTRUCTION

It’s a boxy type top with a positive ease of 18 to 20 cm. It is worked from the bottom up, first making the body in the round and then, after separating the body and sleeves, continuing the back and front separately.

Throughout the entire garment, you will repeat a simple pattern of garter stitch, eyelets, and stretched stitches, which you will memorize very easily.

At the end of the garment, some short rows are worked for the neckline, both in the front and back, and it is finished in garter stitch, picking up the stitches from the neck and sleeves.

It has been designed for 9 sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) corresponding to a bust circumference of the garment of 93 (103, 113, 123, 133) (143, 153, 163, 173) cm

YARN

100% mercerized cotton from Tejedora Chile, 400 m per skein of 100 g.

Yardage: You will use approximately 650 (700, 740, 800, 873) (940, 1000, 1070, 1140) m.

Weight: You will use approximately 160 (170, 185, 200, 220) (235, 250, 270, 285) g.

The yardage and weight have been calculated based on the sample yarn. It is possible that these may decrease or increase depending on the yarn you work with. Fibers like bamboo or certain cottons have more weight, so keep this in mind when calculating quantities.

NEEDLES

Circular needles of 3.5 mm or the necessary thickness to achieve the tension gauge (with a cable of at least 80 cm long and a short cable for the sleeves)

3 DPN of 3.5 mm for the three-needle bind-off.

GAUGE

19 stitches x 30 rows = 10x10 cm, knitted in “Sequence of 12 Rows in the round” stitch pattern with 3.5 mm needles or the necessary thickness to obtain the gauge measured after blocking.
