PrimaveraViva es una prenda fresca y sencilla inspirada en la luminosidad y brillo que aportan las flores en la época primaveral. Es un top de base neutra que “explota” de color, nos llena de vida y nos hace florecer, al aplicarle un bordado en el canesú.

Es una prenda un poco a “tu medida” ya que puedes desde confeccionar el top que te indica el patrón hasta escoger una prenda de punto a la que quieras darle nueva vida y guiarte por estas instrucciones para aplicar un bordado.

CONSTRUCCIÓN

El top PrimaveraViva se construye de arriba hacia abajo y está elaborado en punto jersey. Tiene dos opciones de cuello: puedes hacerlo en un elástico retorcido más tradicional o iniciar con un urdido provisional, para luego aplicar un i-cord en el color de base o en uno de contraste que después puedas combinar con el bordado.

Se continúa con el cuerpo, el que se cierra en punto elástico retorcido. Luego se retoman los puntos de las mangas, a las que se agregan algunos centímetros en punto jersey. Antes de cerrar los puntos de éstas se realizan algunas disminuciones tipo pliegues y luego, al igual que el cuello, se pueden cerrar con elástico o con un i-cord.

Una vez terminada la prenda se aplica un bordado en el canesú. En este patrón te entrego algunas ideas de dibujos a aplicar en el bordado, pero eso quedará un poco a tu gusto y creatividad. Puedes cambiar los dibujos, ubicarlos como quieras, hacer más o menos de los que se muestran en el modelo. Las posibilidades de combinación de colores para el bordado también son infinitas: puedes hacer una prenda muy colorida o, incluso, utilizar un hilado con poco contraste.

El top está disponible en las tallas 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) que corresponden a una circunferencia del busto de la prenda de 82 (92, 102, 112, 122) (132, 142, 152, 162) cm

Respecto al hilado, para la muestra se utilizó Baby Cotton de YarnArt (50% algodón y 50% acrílico) / 165 m por cada madeja de 50 g, en los colores:

CP: Negro (460)
CC: Fucsia (422)

Metraje: Utilizarás aproximadamente 680 (770, 850, 950, 1050) (1150, 1280, 1370, 1460) m de CP y 17 m de CC

Gramaje: Utilizarás aproximadamente 205 (235, 260, 290, 320) (350, 390, 415, 445) g de CP y 5 g de CC

MUESTRA

24 pts x 37 Vs = 10x10 cm, tejida en punto jersey circular con agujas de 3 mm o el grosor necesario para obtener la muestra medida después de bloquear.

La prenda es muy sencilla de tejer pero requerirás otros materiales como:

• 1 marcador de punto para el inicio de V

• 1 crochet de 3 mm para el urdido provisional

• Hilado de descarte para el urdido provisional y para los pts en espera de las mangas

• 1 aguja auxiliar para trenzas

• Aguja lanera

• Tijeras

• Hilos de bordar (guiarse por el tutorial: “Materiales para el bordado”, para guiarse sobre qué fibras utilizar para bordar)

• Tela estabilizadora para bordado hidrosoluble

• Agujas chenille N° 20 a 22

• Bastidor para bordar

El patrón es muy completo, incluye tutoriales para explicar ciertas técnicas que se utilizan en la prenda y otros que explican con mucho detalle desde los materiales que necesitarás para el bordado hasta los puntos que realizarás para ello.

En el patrón, también encontrarás algunos ejemplos de dibujos que puedes aplicar para el bordado.

PrimaveraViva is a fresh and simple garment inspired by the brightness and shine that flowers bring during the springtime. It’s a top with a neutral base that “bursts” with color, filling us with life and making us blossom when embroidered on the yoke.

It’s a somewhat “made-to-measure” garment as you can either craft the top as indicated by the pattern or choose a knitted garment to breathe new life into, following these instructions to apply embroidery.

CONSTRUCTION

The PrimaveraViva top is constructed from top down and is made in stockinette. It offers two neckline options: you can either make it with a more traditional twisted elastic or start with a provisional cast-on, then apply an i-cord in the base color or a contrasting one that you can later combine with the embroidery.

You then proceed with the body, which is closed in twisted elastic stitch. Next, you pick up stitches for the sleeves, adding a few centimeters in stockinette. Before bind off the stitches for the sleeves, some fold-type decreases are made, and then, similar to the neckline, they can be binded off with elastic or an i-cord.

Once the garment is finished, embroidery is applied on the yoke. In this pattern, I provide some ideas for designs to apply in the embroidery, but that will be somewhat up to your taste and creativity. You can change the designs, place them as you wish, make more or fewer than those shown in the model. The possibilities for color combination in the embroidery are also endless: you can make a very colorful garment or even use yarn with little contrast.

The top is available in sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) corresponding to a bust circumference of the garment of 82 (92, 102, 112, 122) (132, 142, 152, 162) cm.

As for the yarn, Baby Cotton from YarnArt was used for the sample (50% cotton and 50% acrylic) / 165 m per 50 g skein, in the colors:

MC: Black (460)
CC: Fuchsia (422)

Yardage: You’ll use approximately 680 (770, 850, 950, 1050) (1150, 1280, 1370, 1460) m of MC and 17 m of CC.

Grams: You’ll use approximately 205 (235, 260, 290, 320) (350, 390, 415, 445) g of MC and 5 g of CC.

GAUGE

24 sts x 37 rows = 10x10 cm, knitted in circular stockinette with 3 mm needles or the necessary thickness to obtain the gauge after blocking.

The garment is very easy to knit, but you’ll need other materials such as:

• 1 stitch marker for the V-neck start

• 3mm crochet hook for the provisional cast-on

• Scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on and for stitches on hold for the sleeves

• 1 cable needle

• Tapestry needle

• Scissors

• Embroidery threads (refer to the tutorial: “Materials for Embroidery” for guidance on which fibers to use for embroidery)

• Hydro-soluble stabilizer fabric for embroidery

• Chenille needles N° 20 to 22

• Embroidery hoop
