The Trouble with Ribbles
The Trouble with Ribbles is a snuggly cowl worked in the round using fully reversible patterns including Ribbles (reversible cables).
Pattern includes:
Written and charted instructions
Photo tutorial for invisible join
Yarn: DK or Worsted weight
Shown in:
Cascade 220 “9494 -Ruby”
Miss Click Clack Darling Road DK “Melbourne Black”,
Wollmeise DK Merino “12Mg”
Finished Measurements: 23cm x 71 cm / 9” x 28”
Needles:
4.00mm circular needle 60cm /24”
4.50mm circular needle 60cm /24”
Notions:
Tapestry needle
Cable needle
I don’t recommend working ribbles without a cable needle. Due to the extra width and elasticity of ribbles (as compared with regular cables), the stitches are more likely to unravel without the safety of a cable needle - and they are a pain to fix!
Gauge: 20 sts & 32 rows = 10cm / over garter stitch panels
Oh yes and The Trouble with Ribbles… is that they eat up more yarn than you ever thought possible!
