This pattern is for a hat and a cowl

A geographically inaccurate silhouetted skyline of Aberdeen (Scotland), celebrating the city’s marriage of old and new. Marischal College, Castlegate, an oil rig and a wind turbine, encircled by supply vessels and tankers, in beautifully soft lambswool spun in Kinross. The colourwork is stranded and there are some quite long floats to carry so be sure you’re comfortable catching floats before you start. To work a larger or smaller hat try changing needle size. Either the hat or the cowl can be made from one hank of each colour. The hat is slightly slouchy, omiting the boats will five a snugger ‘beanie’ fit.

The colourwork is charted, the rest of the pattern is written.

Yarn used, one hank each of Granite and Bluebell. The hat takes about half the yarn, the cowl takes most of each hank.
