The Hillfoots of Clackmannanshire run alongside the Ochils, as pictured here.

This jumper (sweater) is a simple top-down stranded yoke pattern that uses four contrasts in the yoke but can be adapted to more if desired.
The sample is shown fitted to size, if you prefer a looser fit then knit a size larger than normal. Body length and sleeve length are fully adjustable. There are instructions included at the end if you prefer a higher neckline. The sleeves are shown here half length but can be knit full length if you prefer. For most of the sizes you will have leftovers of the contrasts which can be added in above the rib for extra detailing.

Yarn requirements:
28” - 3x50g main colour, 1 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
32” - 4x50g main colour, 1 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
36” - 4x50g main colour, 1 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
40” - 5x50g main colour, 1 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
44” - 6x50g main colour, 1 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
48” - 7x50g main colour, 1 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
52” - 7x50g main colour, 2 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
56” - 8x50g main colour, 2 x20g in each of 4 contrasts
60” - 9x50g main colour, 2 x20g in each of 4 contrasts

Needles - a 3mm is used for the rib, a 3.25mm for the plain stocking stitch and a 3.5mm for the stranded yoke. The gauge is based on the stocking stitch section, if you need a different size needle to get the tension then go for a size smaller on the ribs and a size larger on the stranded section.
I’d recommend a 60cm circular for the neck and yoke, then an 80cm for the body and either a 40cm or a long circular (magic loop) for the sleeves. A 40cm is good for the larger sized sleeves but may be too big for the 28/32” size.
