The Fireplace Cat
As the oldest feline in the house, this cat is allowed to curl up in front of any fireplace she chooses, with strict instructions not to be disturbed. Her exact age is anyone’s guess, since she was already living here when the Morgans moved in.
A repetitive pattern of short rows and plain rounds, this pattern can be memorized after the first few repeats. Curled up in a tight ball, the one and only appendage is knit separately and sewn on after stuffing, partially covering her face. Who hasn’t seen their cat sleeping like this?
Finished project is 11 inches from side to side, 10 inches front to back, and 5 inches top to bottom when knitted with recommended yarn weight and needle size.
