Straight silhouette sweater with positive ease ~4% of bust circumference. Sweater is worked in contrast stranded colorwork on yoke and hem.
Sweater is worked from the top down starting from the trimmed neckband, then shape raised-back neck with short rows; the yoke is worked in stranded Stockinette.
Body and sleeves are worked top-down seamlessly in the round in Stockinette or stranded Stockinette if desired.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS
YARN: any fingering weight yarn ~420m/460yds per 100g/3.5oz in 2 contrasting colors.

NEEDLES:
Main: 3.25-3.5mm/ US3-4 (or size to get gauge in Stockinette) circulars on a 60 cm/24” cable;
Edging: 3mm/US 2.5 circulars on a 60 cm/24”cable;
Note: go `~0.5mm(1-2 US sizes) up for working stranded colorwork if you work too tight.

NOTIONS: crochet hook, stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle, scissors, waste yarn/ stitch holder/extra cable.

TECHNIQUES
Provisional (using crochet hook & scrap yarn)
Sewn (tubular) bind off for 1x1 rib (in the round)
Italian cast on
Hollow rib (in the round) – creates double-layered fabric that looks like stockinette from both sides.
Faux binding
Stranded colorwork without floats – it’s recommended to trap floats when you have 5 and more sts of one color.
2 options: catching floats as usual; stranded ladderback jacquard
Increases
Knit front&back (KFB)
Lifted increases: LLI
Decreases: knit 2 together (k2tog), slip-slip-knit (ssk), purl 2 together (p2tog) & slip-slip-purl (ssp)
