Tardigrade
Crochet your own tardigrade! Also known as water bears or moss piglets, these critters are usually the size of a grain of sand and are found in wet environments almost everywhere on earth. If only we could see them with the naked eye… This guy is huge, over 30cm long and 25cm wide, and perfect for cuddles. Great for anyone who has ever wanted a pet tardigrade :)
The pattern difficulty is intermediate, as it uses a lot of different stitches and a lot of shaping, but you should not be intimidated. The pattern includes lots of photos to help you get it right :)
- One pair of 10mm safety eyes is needed
- A few stitch markers can be useful
For this creature I used almost four skeins of pink yarn, so the yardage is somewhere between 210 and 280 meters. You will only need a few meters of brown for the claws.
