Classic, fitted tweedy jacket with lace detail, set in sleeves and patch pockets.
This lovely yarn from New Lanark Mills inspired the tweedy look of this fitted jacket with the slightly unusual lace edge detail. The Knot Stitch is very simple to do, the most tricky part being counting the rows which is most easily done on the wrong side. The optional lace for the edges on collar and cuffs is also fairly straightforward with some degree of complexity in the construction.
The instructions for the lace edge of the cuff is to cast on and off with waste yarn then graft the edges together but if you prefer, simply cast on and off in Yarn A and sew the edges together.
This jacket is fitted so be sure to check the actual measurements before deciding on the size to make.
