The third shawl of the Be Mine collection, a set of floral-inspired shawlettes designed to be both simple and sweet.

Sugar Is Sweet is a top-down garter stitch shawl with a rounded, crescent-like shape and a neat border of textured shells that resemble flower petals. A contrasting color may be added at the border for more visual effect. Samples are shown in heavy fingering/sport weight yarn, but any weight yarn may be used (adjust yardage accordingly). The size is easily adjusted by changing the size of the garter stitch body (see Notes) or by adding additional rows of shells. Written instructions are used, with a schematic chart of the shell pattern for reference.

Skill level: Easy to intermediate. Stitches include kyok in same stitch; k4tog; k4togtbl.
