Starlight and Snow Flurries
This shawl was inspired by the night skies over Alaska. Constellations are scattered through the deep blue stockinette section, catching the light as you move. They shine on the snow flurries lace pattern which transitions into graceful points of light at the edging.
This shawl is worked from the center neck outward to the edging, beginning with a beaded stockinette section. The lace section and edging are charted, with additional beads worked into the edging.
Included with this pattern are 6 constellations. You can find more at sites such as this. When placing the beads in the stockinette section, randomly place your constellations, follow a night sky exactly as it is in any given month, or scatter your beads any way you like.
Note: This pattern will be available to EU customers through LoveKnitting. I will not increase the price before June 2015, since LoveKnitting is not charging a commission until then. Due to the fluctuating VAT situation I may have to consider charging slightly more for EU customers after May 31, 2015.
