The Stardust sweater, originally published in Crochet Now magazine, Issue 19 (September 2017), is a crochet raglan worked seamlessly from the top down.

The stitch pattern, with delicate picots and eyelets, combined with the shiny sequins, adds a lot of sparkle and joy to this otherwise simple, everyday sweater.

This design is very versatile. Its simple structure and 6-stitch pattern repeat make it easy to modify, whether you want to adjust the sleeve or body length, enlarge the yoke, shrink the neckline, or add more stitches under the arms to increase the width of the body and sleeves. You can also skip the edging and replace it with a more casual one.

MATERIALS
Yarn: King Cole Galaxy DK; 191 yards (175m) per 50g ball; 65% Acrylic, 31% Wool, 4% Soft Payette
Hook: U.S. G/6 (4 mm)
4 stitch markers
Yarn needle to weave in ends

YARDAGE
7 (7, 8, 8), (9, 9, 10, 10) balls in Stardust 1713

GAUGE
20 sts and 9 rows = 4” (10 cm) after blocking, worked in main st patt (see swatch instructions on page 4)

Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4), (5, 6, 7, 8)

The Stardust sweater is available in 8 sizes, with finished bust circumferences ranging from 34¾“ (88 cm) to 51¼” (130 cm). The amount of ease is up to you: roomy for layering or extra comfort, or minimal ease for next-to-body wear.

3. LENGTH (measured from underarm to the bottom edge, adjustable): 15¾″ / 40 cm
