Spring Street will surprise you with just how effortless lace can feel.

This bottom-up triangle shawl features an all-over lace pattern of overlapping petals with subtle textural interest.

The pattern is easier than it looks, perfect for adventurous lace beginners and seasoned knitters alike. Also? No purling. You’re welcome.

Spring Street is proof that simple doesn’t have to mean boring, and beautiful doesn’t have to mean complex.

YARN
Two skeins of North Light Fibers Spring Street (100% merino wool; 283 m / 310 yds per 70 g skein), shown in colour Sand. (Discontinued. See alternatives above.)

Or approximately 542 m / 592 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

FINISHED SIZE After blocking

The size is easy to adjust by working fewer or extra pattern repeats. Instructions included in the pattern.
