Spring Delight is delicate, crisp and airy. This large yet light shawl features a beautiful combination of alternating garter stitch stripes and diamond lace.

You knit from one corner to the opposite edge, creating a slightly asymmetric triangle shape. It’s a perfect piece for whenever you’re longing for a light layer.

YARN
Two skeins of Manos del Uruguay Alma (100% merino wool; 500 m / 546 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Patience.

Or approximately 684 m / 748 yds of similar fingering or light fingering weight yarn.

Note: On Ravelry this yarn is listed as lace weight, but Manos del Uruguay lists it as a fingering weight.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
