Spring Leaves On Block Island Shawl was designed after I attended Deborah Newton’s first Design Retreat in September 2017. The stitch patterns where chosen from class swatches knit for her class, which were my favorites. The edging was my own design idea that I thought of while knitting the body of the shawl. Originally, this shawl was knit to commemorate my experience on Block Island attending Deborah Newton’s First Design Retreat, now is being shared with other inspiring knitters.

The shawl is worked from the top center down, featuring a mirror image from the center stitches and forms the Spring Leaves emerging out from the center of the shawl. Ending with a decorative picot bind off.

Finished Measurements: Approximately 46” along the top edge wingspan and 21” deep at center shawl.
