These are the coziest and softest of mittens! Rowan Cocoon is soft and warm and the double stranded colourwork helps to keep fingers toasty in cold weather. Knit up on two sets of double pointed needles (larger set for colourwork sections), there is very little finishing required (no seams, for example).

While you need two balls of contrasting colours for your mittens, I managed to make two pairs from three balls (2 main colour, 1 contrast colour). The pattern includes charts for colourwork and mitten top sections.
