Slow Wave Accessories (Beanie and Headband)
Named after the deepest, most restful part of our sleep, the Slow Wave Infinity scarf was so popular, it deserved a beanie and headband to match! This project is suitable for a confident beginner.
PLEASE NOTE: This set of patterns does not include the original Slow Wave Infinity Scarf. You can find the infinity scarf pattern here: Slow Wave Infinity Scarf.
Yarn:
This pattern was designed using 8ply/DK weight yarn, however the pattern is versatile and can be made using most yarn weights (noting that this will impact yardage estimates). The photographed example is made using Fiddlesticks Peppin 8 (8ply/DK) in colour 810.
Sizes:
Inclusivity is important!
- Sizes included: XXS (Child sizes) - XL+ (larger adult sizes)
- Everyone’s head is a different size, and every crocheter’s tension varies. To account for this, these patterns are written using measurements, rather than specific stitch counts, so a measuring tape is required (though some suggested stitch counts are also included, for those who prefer).
Yardage:
- Most headbands can be made using less than 1 X 50g ball
- XXS beanie size uses 1 – 2 X 50g balls
- XS – S beanie size uses 2 X 50g balls
- S – M beanie sizes uses 2 X 50g balls
- M – L beanie sizes uses 3 or more 50g balls
- XL+ beanie sizes uses 3 or more 50g balls
- A Slow Wave ensemble comprising of 1 beanie, 1 headband, and 1 infinity scarf can be made with 10 X 50g balls.
